MISSION
Newman Catholic School, located in Mason City, Iowa, is an early childhood through twelfth-grade Catholic school that welcomes students of all faiths while serving the parishes of North Iowa. Our students are educated in a caring, faith-filled environment that focuses on the individual learner. Inspired by Christ, our Newman Catholic faculty and staff, families, and parishes are committed to forming disciples to lead, love, and serve.

Newman Catholic offers a caring and nurturing environment for infants as young as 6 weeks in childcare, to our youngest learners in preschool, to grade school- all the way through their high school experience to graduation. The ability to offer all of this on one campus makes for a convenient and seamless experience.
Parents often speak to the convenience of dropping their child off at the before school program, knowing that the teachers will be able to walk a hall to pick them up for class for the day. Our older Knights are able to mentor our youngest Knights, stopping in their classrooms to share their experience in extracurriculars, help with service projects, and be present with them as they attend Mass. This creates a culture of acceptance, fun, and family.
At Newman there are many opportunities to be involved in your child’s education. From volunteer opportunities within the classroom and beyond. Newman Catholic is a success because of its sense of community and involvement. Opportunities to assist the Development Office, Booster Club, Parent Association, and within the supporting parishes give families the opportunity to stay involved with their child’s education.
Newman Catholic offers a wide variety of opportunities with nearly 100% participation in at least one extracurricular activity. Our school location in Mason City, IA provides a unique opportunity to provide programming for everyone. With over 14 Athletic teams, a strong fine arts department, and 6 clubs and counting. 
Our school emanates a strong commitment to faith development, service to our community, and places emphasis on academic success, positioning graduates for success in all post high school endeavors.
